But no, this smart condom is more like a FitBit for your penis.

The smart condom, named 'i.Con', provides the user with a variety of stats including the speed of thrusts, number of positions, and calories burned during sex.

The British developers claim that this type of wearable tech is a world first and we're inclined to believe them, as who else would come up with something so pointless.

Once you begin having sex, the i.Con uses a nano chip and sensors to keep track of the speed, number of thrusts, skin temperature, session duration, number of positions and the amount of calories burned.

After you have finished, you can then share and compare your stats with your friends or the world, by importing them onto your computer via the USB plug in. You can share your statistics anonymously if you are feeling a little shy.

And don't worry i.Con insures confidentiality, so you can track and record the data for your own personal use.

The smart condom is currently available exclusively in the UK, though the company says if it takes off they'll move to selling it globally. Fingers crossed...
