Our sex surveys are at the heart of what we do, helping us get a real, honest look at how Kiwis are dating, loving, and having sex, so we can keep the conversation about better sex and pleasure flowing.
We’re the creators of the Mega Kiwi Sex Survey, a comprehensive study exploring sexual behaviours, pleasure, masturbation, dating, relationships, and kink. Our sex research covers it all! Each survey attracts thousands of responses, and we’re so lucky to have a highly engaged audience spanning diverse genders, ages, and sexual orientations. We’ve also worked with Colmar Brunton, UMR and the Sunday Star Times to ensure that our samples are as representative of the general public as possible.
2024
May is Masturbation Month and while here at ATMS we are all about singing the praises of masturbation from the rooftops (it’s all part of the job), we wanted to know how you feel about it! How you do it, where you do it, and why you do it. Sex data and especially data about masturbation can be hard to find so we surveyed 2500 Kiwi and Australians to fill the gap.

2024
With the help of Project Gender, ATMS surveyed 1518 New Zealanders in December of 2024 about their experiences with STIs, STI testing, condom use and social stigma around safer sex practices. This was an online survey distributed to our database and via social media. The study aims to normalize conversations around safer sex and STIs, encouraging safe sex practices as an essential part of our sexual wellness.

2020
We’ve done it again! The Mega Kiwi Sex Survey is back for another round. Adulttoymegastore commissioned UMR to carry out this 2020 sex survey. UMR offers clients an extensive quantitative research suite covering telephone, online, and face-to-face collection. This survey covered 2500 respondents handpicked by UMR to cover age, gender and region in Australia and New Zealand.

2017
Kiwi's sex lives have been revealed! New Zealand adult toy and lingerie retailer, Adulttoymegastore, commenced a nationwide sex survey in September 2017 with the help of Colmar Brunton to better understand how Kiwis think and feel about sex, their sexual satisfaction, sexual behaviour and more. The Adulttoymegastore Kiwi Sex Survey 2017 quizzed 1,500 New Zealanders aged 18 years and older.
