Thanks to the generosity of our amazing customers, we raised more than $2,500 for rainbow charities in New Zealand and Australia during International Pride Month 2021! Here’s what we did to fundraise and what they money is going towards.
Our team participated in Sweat with Pride to fundraise for rainbow charities by committing to 21 minutes of exercise a day to fight discrimination with perspiration through the Sweat With Pride initiative.
We sweated for 9,518 minutes and raised $1,575 raised for rainbow charities that provide health services and support to the LGBTQ+ community!
We hosted a range of online silent charity auctions to fundraise for rainbow charities in New Zealand and Australia. Our New Zealand auction included four amazing sex toy bundles and raised $257.00 for Naming New Zealand, a charitable organisation that helps transgender, gender diverse and intersex youth to update their identity documents to correctly reflect their sex and gender.
Our Australian charity auction included two bundles and raised $124 for Switchboard Victoria, a community-based not for profit organisation that provides peer led, volunteer run support services and suicide prevention initiatives for LGBTQI+ people and their friends, families and allies.
We created special Pride Month stickers to fundraise for two great rainbow charities, Black Rainbow Australia and Gender Minorities Aotearoa, raising more than $700!
We will continue to sell the sticker packs while stocks last, with 100% of proceeds going to Black Rainbow and GMA. Purchase them here.
